Subject: Re: Material on Russian Law in English

Dear Ger

I find the NYU Law School Library’s guides to foreign laws a very helpful starting point when doing international comparative projects.  The Russian guide can be found here:

Kind regards

Dear Ger,

The answer to some of your queries about the Russian legal system can be found in the work of my colleague Jane Henderson - Constitution of the Russian Federation: A Contextual Analysis (Hart, 2011).

With kind regards,

Catharine

DEar all

I wonder if anyone can point me toward material on Russian law in
English?  Is there an official or other authoritative English
translation of the Russian Civil Code or of other Russian laws? What
is the status of precedent in the Russian legal system, de jure and de
facto and what is the Courts structure - what are the best authorities
and sources?

Kind regards

Ger
